Laurie Anderson is an American musician, artist, and filmmaker. She is best known for her work in experimental rock music, especially her collaborations with Brian Eno, most notably the 1975 album "O Superman", which won the 1976 Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.

She has sporadically released new recordings since then. In 2014, she released the single "Somewhere Safe With Somebody" from her upcoming album, The State I Am In. Anderson was a founding member of the band The United States of America and played keyboards for Laurie Anderson & Philip Glass's 1975 album Chelsea Girls.
